Let's talk about my first no-peek 9-patch quilt.

I made this quilt in 2000 for my then-husband. He was really into earth tones and coffee, so I used a lot of coffee-themed fabrics and greens and browns. The design was a lot of fun. I got it from a magazine, and it was called a "No-Peek 9-Patch." What that means is that the main part of the block is made up of 9 little patches, and in this case, all the fabrics were cut into 2.5-inch squares and then placed into a large paper bag. I then reached into the bag without looking and pulled out 9 squares to sew together for the 9-patch. The unifying part of the quilt was the green and white checked fabric that surrounded the 9-patch blocks.
