I’d rather be quilting.

One of my favorite parts about the quilt-making process is hand quilting. I've never understood people who piece their quilt tops and then send them off to a longarm quilter to be quilted by machine. They're missing the most relaxing part of the process!

I love to curl up on the couch with a cup of coffee and whatever quilt I'm working on and just stitch and stitch and stitch. It's especially wonderful in the winter, when it's cold and snowy outside and I'm safely wrapped in cuddly fabric. Sometimes I try extra hard to make my stitches really tiny like the professionals do. I'll get there someday!
